Everyone needs a little magic in their life, From Santa Claus to the Tooth Fairy to the Easter bunny. We invite these magical beings into our homes, we relish in their stories and the happiness they provide leaves a smile on our faces for days. Sadly, these characters make scarce appearances leaving us to crave more.
A few years ago, Santa blessed us with a house elf. His name is Thompson. He shows up at the beginning of December, watches over my children’s behaviors, and reports back to Santa. On Christmas Eve when the fat jolly man visits our house, Thompson is whisked back to the North Pole for another year. Again, a hole is left in our hearts as his presence is missed during the spring and summer months.
