In the food industry, there is always the next greatest tool. Some years its a new blender, others it is a new way to grate cheese. For the past few years, there has been a consistent buzz about spiraling.  I tried it once a few years ago with a cheap hand-held machine but found it awkward to use. It wasn’t until I tried Hamilton Beaches 3-in-1 spiralizer that I learned how fun it was to add ribbons and spirals of colourful vegetables to even my basic meals. From zucchini noodle pasta dishes to gourmet looking potato au gratin, the 3-in-1 Spiraler makes slicing simple enough for every day.

What is Spiralizing?

Spiralizing is the simple technique of turning firm vegetables and fruits into long strand-like noodles. The techniques is created by using a handheld tool (similar to a pencil sharpener) called a spiralizer. You simple place the solid vegetable in one end and it comes out in strand from the other. These gadgets can be handheld, electric or crank and come with different blades to create different shapes and widths of your spirals.

This spiralizer is amazing! Instead of being time consuming and cumbersome, like the hand crank one’s I have tried in the past, this one allows me to achieve my job quick and efficiently! The 3-in-1 spiralizer includes a two speed motor, three blades (spiral, ribbon, and grater) and a handy 5 ft cord! It is extremely easy use and even easier to clean. Changing blades is a breeze and can be stored in the base when not used! I’m so excited to add colour and flare to my foods!

Here is one of the recipes I tried with my spiralizer!
