The weather has been absolutely beautiful this week! With the sun shining and warmer (ok, above zero temperatures!), it is finally starting to feel like spring. To me, spring means a whole wardrobe change! The heavy winter jackets and snow pants make their way to winter storage in the basement, sweaters return to the top shelves and the boots retreat to the back of the closet. Out come the t-shirts, capris and my favourite part, spring and summer shoes. After hiding all winter in heavy socks and clunky boots, my feet are dying to see sunlight. There is nothing better then having a breeze blow between your toes! With 3 active kids to chase, I am on the hunt for a stylish, yet comfortable shoe to take me through this season. When I first saw the UNEEK, I thought “WOW that is unique!” (not necessarily in a good way). Knowing that appearances can be deceiving, I decided to give this product a chance to prove itself. The thing that I loved about the UNEEK was its unique design. Made from two polyester parachute cords and a lightweight base that shoe looked very durable and I could see its advantages at the pool, water park or gardening. What I didn’t expect was how comfortable it was. The cords are threaded in the polyuerthane sole and molded perfectly to my foot. While one cord holds your foot in place, the other acts like laces to ensure a snug fit. The sole was designed to match the contours of the human foot which provides the support and stability I needed to chase after my kids in a game tag. With the unique ability to mold to your foot and the stability of the sole, this shoe ensure everyone an individual, comfortable fit!
