This festive green milkshake recipe is perfect for celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day! Easy and so delicious!
Surprise your family with this fun St. Patrick’s Day Milkshake
March rolled in like a lion this year and although the temperatures are not as high as I would love, we are keeping busy in the kitchen preparing for the next holiday; Saint Patrick’s Day! Although only 0.06% of the world are Irish, Saint Patrick’s day has a way of bring out the Irish in all of us! Whether it’s celebrating at your local pub or simply wearing green, the holiday has become a holiday that many people celebrate!
We are not from Irish descent, but I love celebrating different holidays and using them as a teaching tool for my kids. Many people celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a festive meal on March 17th complete with Corned Beef and Cabbage. This celebration is to honor the death day of Saint Patrick, the Irish Bishop who was thought to have brought Christianity to Ireland.
When I think of St. Patrick’s Day there is one famous green milkshake that I just can’t wait to have. Sadly, this milkshake only makes a brief appearance and is usually sold out when I try to get it! This year, I decided to surprise my kids with homemade Shamrock shakes for an after school snack! I love that they were so easy to make and I could control the ingredients that went into it!
