Every year there is one toy that is defined as the “IT” toy of the season. The toy usually makes it’s big debut in September and kids start talking about it. By October, there is a lot chatter and these toys begin flying of the shelves. By November, the toy’s name is everywhere, Santa Claus letters, on the lips of your children and even the News. Sadly, they are hard to get and if you do find one, you will be paying double or triple the price.
Luckily for me, my kids don’t buy into the “MUST HAVE” toy of the season. Instead they, unconsciously, pick a theme for the year, and all three children ask for toys in that theme. Last year, they all asked for building kits. From easy kits for my daughter to more complex one for the boys, we spend the entire day building new creations.
This year, my children are extremely into video games, technology and creations. Finding something technical that isn’t a video game can be a challenge. For my boys, it was easy finding robotic kits to amuse them, but finding a starter robotic kit for my daughter who tries desperately to keep up with her older brothers, was a challenging task. When I came across Hasbro’s FurReal Makers Proto Max, I knew I had found the “IT” present for this year!
FurReal Makers Proto Max is an amazing new product in the FurReal line up. This Pup lets you build, customize and code your own pet. Backed by the FurReal cuteness factor, this toy takes the robotic dog to a whole new level. Begin by assembling your pup. Complete with easy to use instructions and computer feed back in the body, your child can quickly put together their new friend. Then comes the fun part! With over 400+ sounds, 100+ eye animations, a wide range of colors, and 360-degree motion, you can customize your pup to your liking. With the turn of a dial and push of a button, kids can select its starter personality, including basic sounds, lights, and responses. If you want the Pup to develop more skills, download the app and it will pair with your Pup.
My DD6 is going to love the FurReal Makers Proto Max. Not only will it allow her to independently build her own robot, like her brothers. The 9-piece build set is super easy to use and she is going to love the soft fur they placed on his back. To program her Pup to the basic level, all she has to do is turn the dial and push the button. This allows her to customize her Pup to match the mood or wardrobe. There is no fear of her getting bored with her Pup because the download app allows her to explore things she can do with her dog every day and she earns badges for feeding and caring for her pup to unlocking even more fun.
When she gets a little order, the app allows her to add depth to her Pup with a beginners coding activity. With easy drag-and-drop plays, she can implement new responses to 10+ activation points, learn new tricks and move in patterns. She can also use her tablet and the app to move him in real time.
I can’t wait to see her unwrap this Christmas morning! It is the perfect combination of FurReal and Robots to give her a toy that is not only the MUST HAVE toy for the season, but one that she can grow with and enjoy for a long time.
