Spring is here!! It’s time to refresh the closet, engage in the latest fashions and bust out your brilliant white collection. The problem with spring time is it is also a time for rain, mud and accidents. This past weekend is a great example of how whites and mud don’t mix. My daughter and I were off to our first spring birthday party. We had been waiting weeks for it and had planned on wearing our new, brightly coloured sun dresses! Unfortunately when the day arrived, it was cool and rainy. Not wanting to disappoint my daughter, we wore our sundresses with beautiful white sweaters on top.
The party was amazing. We looked and felt so springy regardless of the weather! Mother Nature heard our cry and the day got warmer and we were able to shed our jackets. On the way to the car, my daughter tripped holding our sweaters and they landed in mud. Our beautiful white sweaters were now covered in mud!! What do you do?
When I am looking to fight tough stains, there are three steps that I take:
1.. OxiClean™ Colour Shield Laundry Stain Remover It’s the perfect solution to remove dirt, dust and stains from clothing, while safeguarding colours. I simply sprinkle some powder on the site of the stain. Add a few drops of water to form a paste and use the granules to scrub at the stain. After I feel that I have worked the product into the stain, I recreate the OxiClean paste and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. This product has 50 per cent more brightening power versus leading value detergent alone and it works in all machines including High Efficiency (HE)!
2. Arm & Hammer™ Plus OxiClean™ 3-IN-1 Power paks After I have pretreated my stain, I like to let them soak. I fill a bucket with cool water and add a power pak. It allows for a greater concentration of power pak to water ratio to fight the stain harder. This laundry detergent pak combines the freshening and deodorizing power of pure Arm & Hammer Baking Soda with the stain fighting power of OxiClean. This combination allows it to tackle tough stains while keeping your clothes smelling fresher, longer. I let my garment soak for an hour then I pour the water into the washer machine to use with the rest of my load.
3. OxiClean™ Max Force™ Foam Laundry Pre-Treater One last time, I give the stain a final kick in the butt with a spray of OxiClean Max Force Foam Laundry Pre-Treaters to help tackle even the greasiest spills and stains left behind.
Then I throw the garment in the wash with the rest of my laundry and launder as per usual!! This power team almost always gets rid of my stains the first time!
