Just when you though you couldn’t take another bite
He’s back in his 3rd animated film!
Who am I? This questions is possibly one of the most complex questions you can ask yourself and definitely one of the scariest ones to answer. The path to self discovery allows us to become aware of our true potential, character and motives. It requires a journey deep inside yourself, a revision of your past experiences (the good, the bad and the ugly!) and a complete unveiling of your thoughts and feelings. It causes you to examine every choice, relationship and aspect of your life and create strict boundaries to live by. It means to create a clear path from where you are to where you want to be.
Kung Fu Panda 3 is a movie about Po’s self discovery. After the last movie ended, Po was living high as a village hero. He was fighting bad guys and basking in the glow of praise from the village. His life and the roll he was to play was clear, and then his world was forever changed. The supernatural villain Kai reappeared and began stealing the chi from all of China’s kung fu masters. As Po watched his friends go from a state of power to a state of weakness, his own power mortality sunk in. Then his long-lost biological father, Li Shan returned to find his son.
Po and Li Shan travel to a hidden village where Po meets scores of other pandas, reconnecting with his inner dumpling-eating, hill-rolling, oversleeping self. Fun in paradise is cut short when Kai begins to hunt for our hero. Without the Furious Five by his side, Po must train his new panda friends into fierce warriors to return order to his village.
“Who am I? I’ve been asking the same question.
Am I the son of a panda? The son of a goose? A student? A teacher?
Turns out, I’m all of them.”
