The healthy Helper that I was most interested in testing out was the Big Mouth Juice Extractor. Being a busy Mom of three, I struggle to fit health meals into my day. When meal times roll around, I create delicious and nutritious meals for my kids, but I tend to forget about my own lunch until its too late. When my tummy begins to growl, I grab for something quick and easy, rather than health and nutritious.
The Big Mouth Juice Extractor is the perfect addition to any kitchen. With very little preparation, you can serve your family fresh, frothy juice! One of my favourite features of this juicers is that it is equipped with an extra-large 3″ intake chute. This allows you to tackle whole fruits and veggies, minimizing on the chopping and prep time.The extra-large pulp bin holds a lot of waste and you can easily juice 4 or more whole fruits and vegetables without having to empty the bin. One thing I want to point out is how powerful this juicer is! If you are creating a juice recipe that requires more than 3 fruits you will have to watch out for how fast the cup fills up! When juicing with items like cucumber, melons, apples, oranges, etc. you get a lot of juice in a short amount of time!
Clean up is very easy! It comes with a handy scrub brush for getting the bits of pulp out of the blades. If you find the pulp is being difficult, soak it for 10-15 minutes and it will literally wipe off. Clean up requires the scrubbing of five pieces: the lid, the pusher, the blade, the separator and the cup. To save time in the clean process, we place a plastic kitchen bag in the pulp bin so we don’t have worry about scrubbing that part later. This also allows you to collect the pulp to use later for things like thickeners, pizza toppings etc.
This juicer has been a great addition to my health and wellness routine. I’ve been playing around with different fruits and vegetables that I wouldn’t normally eat and coming out with some amazing juices. It is something that I can whip up the night before and store in the fridge, to provide me with a healthy snack or meal replacement.

Cucumber, Ginger, Apple Juice
- 1 cucumber
- 1 apple
- 2 stalks celery
- 1 Inch ginger
- 1/2 lemon
- Cut cucumber in to 1-2 inch chunks
- Cut apple into quarters
- Cut celery in half
- Remove peel for lemon
