With this being one of the longest winters on record, my kids were dying for spring to arrive. This Sunday, was finally sunny and warm, that the kids were destined to spend the day outside. We said good bye to Christmas decorations, snow blowers and layers of clothing and welcomed our bikes, scooters and baseball gloves with open arms. The kids spent the day bouncing from tag to hide and seek, and catch to follow the leader. They enjoy the fresh air, freedom to run and rekindling friendships with neighborhood kids. DS8 tried out his birthday present, a new bike and attempted to master two wheels. DS6 gave up his three wheeled scooter and began testing out his older brother’s two wheeler. DD2 is finally at an age that she can join her siblings in games like hide and seek and catch, and was thrilled to be part of their world. We were ready for spring….or so I thought!
An hour into our outdoor adventure, DD2 skinned her knee. I tore apart the house searching for a band-aid (which I found thankfully!) but it got me thinking if I was really prepared for spring? Did I have the necessary supplies to deal with scraps, bruise and bug bites? What about allergies, sunburns and watery eyes? All of these are familiar symptoms of spring and children, which I must be prepared for.
Luckily, Target recently opened in my neighborhood and I was able to slip away from the kids to prepare for future outdoor fun medical situations. Target Pharmacy is my go-to store when I’m looking for quality health and wellness products at amazing prices.
With everything from basic first-aid kids, to allergy medication and sun protection, I am able to stock up our First Aid kit for a season of outdoor fun. I love their Up and Up brand!
