Is there one memory that is clear as day from when you were a wee child? Mine would be Tuesday nights (I believe that was the day!). My Dad would come home from hockey and bring a pizza with pineapple, pepperoni and olives and we would watch the Muppet show in front of the TV. Growing up, the Muppets were my favourite TV show. From the opening note to the closing song, I would be glued to the TV in non stop silence, enjoying every moment of the show. As I have gotten older, my love the for the Muppets remains. Whenever I hear Kermit’s common sense or Miss Piggy’s “Oh Kermie” I fill up with a sense of nostalgic love.
Today my kids and I were treated to the first showing of The Muppets Most Wanted thanks to @SubwayCanada. The day started off with the ‘green’ carpet treatment! Pictures taken on the green carpet in front of a Subway sign made us feel like famous people!
Armed with popcorn and water, we choose our seats. Normally the kids get board waiting for a movie to begin, but this time @SubwayCanada had that covered. On the big screen were 10 Muppet trivia questions that you could tweet your answers too for the chance to win a prize! I am very happy to say that @Mommy_Jennof3 was a winner (and the best part is the KIDS gave me all of the answers!).
The Muppets Most Wanted was an amazing movie! From the opening note to the final solo, the kids were either laughing at the comical jokes or dancing in their seats to the fabulous music. Mommy loved that the characters were the same old Muppet that she remembered growing up with and that EVERY Muppet made a least one appearance in the film. The plot captured your attention and kept you guessing the entire movie, the jokes made everyone laugh (from my DD2 right up to myself) and the villains were the type of characters that you loved to hate! This is definitely a movie I recommend to all Muppet lovers to see and I will be adding it to my own DVD collection!
The Muppets Most Wanted
Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theatres in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.
