This weekend, my family and I attended an amazing luncheon event hosted by #iogoCanada and iögo ZIP. We were invited to the Toronto Center for the Arts where we attend an exclusive comic-art lesson for the kids and a healthy lunch preparation for the adults. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but knowing my kids’ love of IÖGO products, I knew it would be a good time!
Have you tried IÖGO?
#IÖGOCanada is the new brand of great tasting yogurt and dairy products designed by Canadians for Canadians.
My family has been enjoy IÖGO products for awhile now. We love the fresh taste and the cool packaging. When I learned that the company is 100% owned by Canadian dairy farmer corporation and the products contain no artificial flavors, colours or gelatin, I was proud to find this product in my fridge. With over 40 flavours of yogurt, there is a flavour for everyone!
The afternoon began with a drawing lesson from Jo Rioux, Canadian comic artist and author of the children’s graphic novel, Cat’s Cradle. My DS7 was so excited. He had never been to a formal drawing lesson before and love that he was being taught by the person who drew the comics on his IÖGO products. Jo taught us how to create a simple three box cartoon using comic relief. She drew a sample cartoon on a board up front, then walked around and gave each child individual instruction. The boys learned a ton and they continued drawing comics all weekend long!
After Jo’s presentation, Jonathan, a dietitian and recipe creator for IÖGO taught us how to create healthy and inspiring lunch ideas. Ideas such as getting the children to help prepare their own lunches, providing options (ie. Banana or Orange) and creating ‘make your own sandwich’ at school, changed my dread for making the same old lunch to fresh and creative ideas!
