Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind “Tangled” and “Wreck-It Ralph,” presents “Frozen,” a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey – teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven – to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls, and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.
The film is directed by Chris Buck (“Tarzan,” “Surf’s Up”) and Jennifer Lee (screenwriter, “Wreck-It Ralph”), and produced by Peter Del Vecho (“Winnie the Pooh,” “The Princess and the Frog”). Featuring music from Tony® winner Robert Lopez (“The Book of Mormon,” “Avenue Q”) and Kristen Anderson-Lopez (“In Transit”), “Frozen” is in theatres in 3D on November 27, 2013.
When I saw the first preview for Frozen, I thought the entire movie was about a snowman and reindeer. Although they were cute and provided laughter, it wasn’t a movie I was planning to rush out and see. As more ads came out, I read an overview of the movie online and found out there was more to the story. The story was about an emotional struggle between to sisters who truly love each other, throw in a winter storm, a love story and a ton of singing and you have an amazing movie. I can honestly say its one of the best movies that I have seen in a long time. It provide comic relief, it had twist and turns that you never say coming, it had the magic of snow and the unbreakable bond of sisters. It is a movie the whole family will enjoy. Everyone from my DD2 to my DS7 sat enthralled through out the film. There are a few ‘scary’ parts due to villains and snow monsters, but nothing violent or too scary. This is definitely going to be a DVD that will hold a special place in our collection!
If you have seen Frozen, I highly recommend you see it in 3D at the theatres! You won’t be disappointed!
We give this movie 5 out 5 hearts!
