My sons were super excited about receiving this product. They had been begging for trashies since they first aired on TV. When they discovered that the UFT Battle arena was similar to their other favourite game, bey-blades, they loved the idea of this game even more. Set up was a breeze. With a few simple clicks of fencing on the arena and the set up of the spin bin, they were playing within minutes of the product being open. DS7 was able to get the spin bin to work on its first try. He loaded the trashie on the spin bin base, cranked the bin and launched the trashies with a press of the button. DS5, on a the other hand, had a lot of difficulty. When he loaded and launched the spin bin it often got lodged in the bin or it would fall flat to the arena without spinning. He found it very frustrating and disheartening. Both kids loved that it the spinning base hit a wall at the right angle the trashie would go flying across the arena. I worried about the strength of the battle arena. It is made of a thin, flimsy plastic and doesn’t seem too durable. I worry that in the heat of battle a knee will come down on the side of the battle arena and crush a wall. To my surprise, the battle arena seems to be tougher then it appears, as it has lasted two weeks in our house without being punctured or broken. After reviewing this product, I think that it is intended for older children (7-10) who have the self control and understanding how to take care of their toys. Overall, it was a great product and sure to be popular this holiday season!
