Happy Bums = Happy People
Bathroom business is usually considered a “dirty” topic, but today we are going to bare it all!
If you were to learn a new way to prevent the spread of disease when sneezing, would you share it with your friend? Of course! Would you share a new bathroom product that leaves you feeling fresh and clean? Probably not. Bottoms are usually considered an inappropriate topic to discuss in public (How many times have you told your son NOT to call their brother is a BUTT head in the presence of other?). As a result, many people tend to shy away from sharing tricks and techniques to improve one’s bathroom experience. This is a huge problem in today’s society! We need to speak out, so #LETTALKBUMS
What is your Bathroom Hygiene routine?
1. The North American Way – The wipe and go technique. Using dry toilet paper, you gentle wipe your bottom from front to back (especially for women!) and carry on with your day.
2. The European Way – Clean with water. The most common bathroom tool used in European countries are bidets. Although I have never used or seen one, a bidet is a toilet looking wash bin, in which water is used to clean your bottom then dried with a towel.
3. The Cottonelle Way – A combination of the American and European way. Using dry toilet paper first to rid of most of the mess, you then use a wipe to provide the ultimate clean, followed by toilet paper to remove any remaining moisture.
Having a good bathroom routine is very important to ensure good hygiene and protect against infection. Your bottom is a very sensitive area that takes a lot of abuse (especially after chicken wings!) and needs to kept clean in order to avoid irritation. After laundry day in a house with two small boys, it is obvious that dry toilet paper is not always the best solution for a complete bathroom routine. Studies show that dry wiping after a bowel movement is not always the most hygienic, but unfortunately it is the most used method in Canada.
All my life I have been a true Canadian! I have used dry toilet paper and never thought twice about it. Although, there are those days that after I concluded business that I didn’t feel entirely clean down below. There has even been a time or two that I have reached for my DD2’s baby wipes to freshen up. Cottonelle heard the cry of people like me, looking for an easy alternative to owning a bidet or using dry toilet paper to stay fresh and clean. Cottonelle Fresh Care Flushable wipes are easy, portable wipes (made for EVERYONE!) that allow you feel shower fresh all day long. Available in a sleek new upright dispenser, you can easily incorporate the Cottonelle Clean routine into your current bathroom routine and keep your bottom happy!
