Do you remember this song growing up (and the hand actions to go with it)? McDonalds has offered many tasty fast food options and deserts for as long as I can remember. In the past few years, they have included my favourite, McCafe, and healthier meal options to their menu. Due to overwhelming success with the healthier options, McDonalds just launched the new Signature McWrap! Different from their snack wraps, the Signature McWrap is a meal-sized wrap designed specifically to cater to Canadian tastes and lifestyles. Starting at $4.99, its a healthy, great tasting option, that makes eating on the run fun and enjoyable.
The new McDonalds Signature McWrap are available in three mouth-watering flavours:
Fiesta: The Fiesta Signature McWrap contains tomatoes, chili lime seasoned tortilla stripes, shredded Monteray Jack and light cheddar cheese and tomato salsa sauce.
Chicken & Bacon: The Chicken and Bacon Signature McWrap contains tomatoes and Jalapeno Monterey Jack Cheese.
Sweet Chili: The Sweet Chili Signature McWrap contains fresh cucumber and sweet spicy Thai sauce.
Our opinion (TESTED BY: GOO aka Grandpa)
I love the idea behind the McDonalds Signature McWraps. Its great to have a “fast food” option that is healthy, nutritious and easy to eat on the go. With our busy lives, lunch time is often forgotten about. I love the innovative grab and go packaging that allowed me to easily tear off the top and begin enjoying a mess-free meal right out of the box.
All three Signature McWraps were tasty and very filling. With the snack wraps, I found that that I would have to eat several of them to feel content. I’m happy to report that Signature McWraps are a one shot deal. I can eat one of them and feel full without feeling like I just finished a greasy meal. It gave me energy and the nutrients I require to continue on with my day. I did, however, feel like there was too much wrap and not enough of the delicious insides for my taste.
