I remember the afternoon I was shopping for makeup for my upcoming wedding with my future sister in law. We were at the Bay’s cosmetic counter and the lady was telling me if I spent X amount of dollars I would qualify for a special package that included face wash, moisturizer, and extra make up. I decided to go for it and the lady asked what type of moisturizer or anti aging cream did I currently used. I stared back with a blank expression? Moisturizer? Anti Aging cream? I’m only 25! Needless to say my older WISER Sister in law sat me down and explained it is never too early to start preparing. She said that I may feel young, but after 30, the wrinkles appear and it only snowballs from there. I laughed it off. What did she know?
I’m over 30 now and although I am often thought to look a lot younger, I can see those dreadful lines, that my sister in law was taking about, rapidly appearing. I cringe as the creases at my mouth are deepening and the laugh lines around my eyes are starting to become more pronounce. 30 was a wake up call for me and since then I’ve been trying to find the right anti aging formula that will work for me. This is a tough job. With sensitive skin that reacts and breaks out with the thought of putting cream on my face, I am reluctant about starting the whole ‘anti aging’ process. I’m more of a ostrich-with-my-head-in-the-sand type of girl. The more I look in the mirror, the more I realize its time to think about choosing the right one. I have tried several different moisturizers from the drugstore, but so far I have been unsuccessful in find the perfect match.
A few months ago, I did a review for an amazing product by Bio-Scriptives called Repiderm. It is an acne treatment moisturizer that if used nightly reduce signs of acne as well as decreases presence of a current break (You can read my review here). The acne cream went on smooth, performed what it claimed to do and left me with a clear, soft complexion. I was so impressed with the company and the product that when they asked me to try their Bio-Scriptives Alo-Verix (Anti aging cream), there was no hesitation at all.
Bio-Scriptives Alo-Verix has been formulated as a deep moisturizing cream for dry skin, and provides benefits for everyday use. Alo-Verix does not use petrolatum, wax, paraffin, mineral oil, or parabens. The Alo-Verix formulation was created with a unique combination of ingredients.
The moisture rich formula contains a powerful blend of non-irritating amino acids, fatty acids, aloe vera, shea butter and resveratrol.
The first thing I noticed when using this product was that it didn’t have the harsh medicinal smell that
Bio-Scriptives Repiderm did. Instead, it had a soft aloe smell that was relaxing, soothing and refreshing. After washing my face, I applied a generous amount of Bio-Scriptives Alo-Verix on several areas of my face, including my target areas (around my mouth and eyes) and rubbed the cream in using small circular motions. I repeated this process for two week to see if Bio-Scriptives Alo-Verix would make the difference that it claimed. The cream went on a with a tactile stickiness, but within seconds left behind smooth, dry skin. I was very happy to find that it was not greasy, nor did it feel like I had a heavy residue on my face. The results I achieved are minimal as I have only been using the cream for two weeks, but I am very impressed with the mositurizing ability. I believe that it will aid and prevent any future worry lines or wrinkles. Currently, Bio-Scriptives Alo-Verix is part of my daily cleansing ritual and has replaced Bio-Scriptives Repiderm (which I use still use when I have a blemish break out or around high hormonal times) and all other moisturizers in my bathroom.
