Now that the holidays are over my family is ready to start planning our adventures for 2013. One thing I’ve been dying to do with my children, since they were born, was take them to Walt Disney World, Florida! I went to Walt Disney World for the first and only time when I was 7 years old. It was a magical experience. I remember walking through the front gates, through Cinderella castle, being surrounded by all the Disney Characters, I loved and watched on T.V. It was a dream come true. Now that my children are 6, 4 and 1 I feel it is the perfect time to share this experience with them. Although you may argue my DD1 is too young to remember this vacation, I want to experience the glory and the magic, while my DS6 still believes the characters and magic are real.
Where do you begin?
The first thing I did was take to the internet. Simple right? Just look up Disney World, enter in the dates you want to go and poof you are off and running! Unfortunately it is not that easy. I spent night after night, flipping from website to website trying to find the best deal that would accommodate my family at reasonable price. Everywhere I looked they recommended something different. Some sites recommended staying off site for a more relaxing vacation. Other sites insisted the only way to experience Disney World was to stay where the magic happens. Some deals came with meal plans, others appeared to be all inclusive until you read the fine print and the meals were not included. It was all very overwhelming.
Who do you trust? How do you know you are getting the best deal?
Luckily, a fellow blogger recommended I call Amber Russell. Amber Russel is CAA’s First Disney Magical Vacation planner! CAA is the go-to place for Disney savings and Amber sounded amazing! She’s been there, seen it and experience it! But can she plan it?
Frustrated and going out of mind with endless possibilities, I send Amber an email. I included that ages of my kids, where we wanted to go, the time of year we intended to go in and hoped for the best. Within 12 hours my worries were eased! Amber sent me a detailed email included several different cost efficient ways to travel to Disney World. The best thing was they were best suited for my family; from the playpen in the room to meal plan options for my celiac disease. In this detailed report, I had options for the cheapest destinations, the experience not to be missed by children my kids’ ages, and complete vacation details (airline information, hotel preference, meal plans, options to get to the resort from the airport etc.). I was amazed at how much attention to detail she included in this report. It was as if Amber was a life long friend of the family, providing me with the best advice possible for my family.
Since I haven’t been to Disney World since I was child, I had a ton of questions for Amber. I wasn’t sure what experiences were essential for 4 and 6 year (especially boys!), I wasn’t sure which parks we should attend and which ones were age appropriate for my children. With Amber’s extensive knowledge of other Florida attractions such as Universal Studios and the SeaWorld/Busch Gardens brand, she was able to provide me with detailed information to why or why not she suggested a certain park and was able to back it up with extensive proof to why she recommended it.
With all my stress removed and a trip planned specifically for my family, I am able to be excited about our 2013 adventure! Never again will I attempt to plan a family vacation alone! Amber and CAA will be my ONLY go-to team for all my family vacation needs!
