It starts before they are born. A friend hears you are pregnant and they purchase a stuff toy to celebrate the news. The baby showers begin and friends and family attach stuff toys with hopes to provide the baby a cuddly companion. Then the baby arrives. Some gravitate towards special blanket and other select cute stuffies to provide security through the night. As your child ages, one becomes two and two becomes and entire zoo. Before you know it, their beds are covered in stuffed toys and there is barely enough room for them!
My children have always been huge stuff toys fans. From DS11’s Olfa to DS9’s Iggle Piggle to DD5’s Princess Bear, stuff toys have littered their beds and brought them comfort over years. When they were babies, their acted as a tactile stimuli and became a sources of comfort as the moved into toddlerhood. When they became preschoolers, their stuffies helped them to engage in imaginary play. As they continue age, their stuffies shifted from imaginary friends to confident and later on collector items. As my children sadly morph from the childhood friend to collector age, I am excited to share with them a brand new (to Canada!) collectible toy called Surprizamals.
Surprizamals are adorable super soft high quality plush toys that come in a plastic egg! Each egg includes a 6 inch surprise plush toy, a collectors guide, an activity sheet and matching stickers. There are 4 categories to collect: common, collectible, rare, and ultra rare. Collect them, trade them, share them with a friend! Surprizamals are the perfect gift for boys and girls over the age of 3! We love that you never know what you get (may be a double!)!
We were sent 6 Surprizamals to test out! Here is DD5 sharing her surprises:
